Tell me again, why didn't we stop in Tupelo?

Saturday, September 20.  Another extremely hot and humid day.  Diane did her best but was run over by heat north of Tupelo.  A lunch break at an air-conditioned visitor center on The Trace was insufficient to revive her energy.  Fortunately she was rescued by John et al. in a four door pick-up and delivered to the Belmont Hotel in Belmont, MS .  (Rob came along, just to make sure Diane was ok.)  After Mexican food for dinner and very long night of sleep for Diane and we were ready to ride again.
