Louisiana hospitality (Day 1)

Louisiana hospitality! (Day 1)
Saturday, September 13, we flew to Lafayette, and took a limo (i.e. Toyota Van) to Bayou Cabins in Breaux Bridge, arriving at 4:30, where our boxed bikes awaiting us.  When we arrived there was a party in progress, and the people invited us to join them.  We said, yes, as soon as we got the bikes together.  Rob put my bike together in about 45 minutes, but his took almost 2 hours, because the front fork was sprung in shipping.  One of the partiers, Jim, took an interest in the effort, and with Rob steadying the bike - Jim muscled the fork into alignment.

With bicycles assembled we joined the party. Turns out these folks were all from New Orleans but came up to the Bayou Cabins twice a year to celebrate birthdays.  They were a ton of fun, and we particularly enjoyed getting to know Bubba and Jeff (and Jim, of course).  Diane had her first ever Jello shot, which she enjoyed very much.  The BBQ was great as well!
